Place: Misogura elementary school, Ishikawa, Japan
We created this work in a workshop. At Misogura Elementary School in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, students drew large "fish" with their handprints on the wall outside the swimming pool's changing room on the school grounds. Students from grades 3 to 5 participated in this workshop, and the colors were divided by grade: blue for grades 3, green for grades 4, and red for grades 5. The idea for this workshop was inspired by the picture book "Swimmy".
- A motif that fits the place. - Draw in a way that anyone can do. - No artistic tools were used. - Have fun while drawing. - Artwork that both children and adults can enjoy.
If you look at the work from a distance, it looks like a big fish, but you can see each little handprint if you look closer.
